March 22, 2005OK all .... Within the next couple of months I'll be picking up my 'new' vehicle .... It's a '46 Chevy Panel Delivery. Right now there's no engine or trans in it, but I've got a nice blown small block with a built up 700R4 for it. Don't know what rear I'll be using yet, but the gearing will probably be in the 3.73 to 4.11 range. .... Looking for a little gas mileage .... Anyways, I was wondering, do I have to register it as a truck or do you think I can get away with car? In NJ, here, it's cheaper to register a car than a truck. ..... Here's a picture I took of it 3 years ago, it's still pretty much the same .....

April 7, 2005It's old but it's not as funky a some of the stuff out there now. I see it as a car!
April 8, 2005Yeah, that's what I figure .... I'm going to try registering it as car ..... The worst that could happen is I'll have to pay truck .....
May 12, 2005Nice looking old Chevy
I don't know how NJ is but in PA they could register it as a Street Rod or Classic tags. I know the classic tags is a 1 time fee and never expires.
