April 27, 2004My mom`s blazer had this stuff in it and when i checked it the other dat it looked like it was muddy water and there was junk floating around in the radiator..i flushed it with that acid cleaner and it cleaned it fair. i switched back to regular green antifreeze...was that a bad idea?

April 29, 2004there are a lot of people who switch back to the green stuff. Dex-cool tend to corode the cooling system faster than the green stuff. the fluid itself lasts longer but is harsher on your cooling. dex-cool has been given the name dex-kill because of this. i guess it is to strong of a chemical.
just make sure you flush the system really good before changing to the green
May 10, 2004good move! I wish I had switched mine! if there`s any air getting into the system at all the damn stuff gums up...first thing that`ll clog up will be your heater core and lemme tell you that isn`t an easy or cheap job...or at least it wasn`t on a 99 Blazer!
