November 17, 2004I have 1994 toyota 4x4 SR5 pickup and I just put new 15x8 eagle alloy wheels on 31x10.50 BFG A/T KOs. My front tires are scrubbing just alittle. Will tightening my torsion bars about in inch hurt my ride quality badly? and how many times do I need to turn them to get a inch? thanks alot!

January 21, 2005The more you crank the rougher the ride gets. Cranking an inch on a Ford F150 makes virtually no difference in ride. When you get up to 2" you start to feel it. You should measure to the bottom of your wheel well, then give it 3 or 4 turns and remeasure. That should get you about an inch. Make sure you do both sides equally.
February 12, 2005I agree with both above replies, however, once you have the height you want, you have to get the front wheels re-aligned or your tires will wear out pretty fast ...... believe me I know!
