February 13, 2005I have a 1998 Chevy Silverado with a 5.7L. It has the stock muffler on it. I am looking to make it loud. I dont know what will sound better. I am considering flowmasters or possibly a glass pack. Which sounds better? I have also heard that you can break the glass in a glass pack to make it louder. I am not so much worried about power as I am sound. What should I do?

February 19, 2005Yeah the flowmasters sound good but are a little pricy, I just had "V-Force" mufflers put on my 6.0 and they sound great. Just as good or better than a flowmaster. Also if your looking for really loud just put straits off of your cats. Thats what I had and it sounded bad-ass, just pulled alot and it was too much. But it had a hell of a bark!
February 21, 2005Loud=Annoying.
Get a 40 Series flow w/ the original size pipe that came on the truck with turndowns. You'll be much happier.
July 4, 2005So if i were to get a jegs dual catbacks on my 93 4wd gmc it would sound great?
July 7, 2005Try straight-piping the exhaust through the passenger window and install a nice 4 inch chrome tip just behind your right ear. The rest of us don't want to hear it so put the window up as far as you can.
Unless of course, it's a turbo diesel which gives us all boners.
